Protect the Seed

Earlier I was sitting at my desk listening to Sharde Martin’s Prayer Vault Volume 1, and I began to listen intently, as she quoted a verse I’m so familiar with- John 10:10 (my verse/ mantra for my 38th year of life) “the thief cometh only but to steal, kill and destroy” I then paused and asked myself- “but what is the enemy trying to steal, kill and destroy in or on me?”

 

It’s the word of GOD….because the word of GOD is living and active. If he can steal, kill and destroy the word (seed) that has been deposited or spoken over my life, then those seeds can’t take root and produce a harvest. It’s the word of GOD in our lives that Satan is after! That’s why you’ve been in a constant battle concerning your faith! Because Satan knows, without faith it’s impossible to please the LORD!

 

Back in February of this year- 2022, Holy Spirit was speaking to me regarding Matthew 13- and growing up in church I have always heard people associate the part of the text “some 30, 60, or 100 fold” with an offering, and that has absolutely nothing to do with money, it has everything to do with the word of GOD and us as a people being good ground, that the word sown will produce a harvest.

 

Matthew 13 verse 23 “But what was sown on good, rich soil represents the one who hears and fully embraces the message of the kingdom. Their lives bear good fruit—some yield a harvest of thirty, sixty, even one hundred times as much as was sown.”

I now see why Holy Spirit was speaking to me concerning the seed- his word. We, one have to be sure that we are in a posture to receive and two, we have to protect the word spoken over our lives.

On Tuesday, May 10th, 2022- I was listening to Tiphani Montgomery, and she made reference to people having a hard time seeing the promises of GOD fulfilled in their lives; it’s because there’s not enough word within to back up what GOD has spoken concerning the promises. <——-I felt ALL OF THAT!

 

Now, I’m beginning to see why I’ve felt depleted, and defeated because of the lack of word/ faith. I’m seeing why Jesus showed us in the word, concerning him going through the wilderness & the enemy showing up to tempt. Jesus was showing us, that it’s the word of GOD within us that will sustain us when Satan comes to steal, kill and destroy! We have to have the word of GOD so imbedded within our hearts that it carries us through! So when it comes to fasting, it’s one thing to fast or to abstain from food; but it’s another to couple or partner our fasting with the word of GOD! It is the word of God that sustains us!

 

I’m sharing this because it blessed me, and I hope it blesses you along your journey. You SHALL recover ALL that GOD has for you! Wage war, overpower and dismantle the enemy concerning your promises—- GOD is a good father, and no good thing shall he withhold from his children!

 

So friends, it's time to protect the seed, the word, and the promises that GOD has given you. 

 

Protect is defined as: 1. a. To keep from being damaged, attacked, stolen, or injured; guard.

 

How do we do this? By consuming and feasting on the word of GOD; through praying the word and mediating on the word. And honestly the first thing we need to do, is partner with GOD, to see what he has promised, come to pass!
